Where do you want to be?

Rooms are somewhere you have to get to at nine in the morning, so the city is the first thing that decides whether any of this works for you.

We guessed this from your connection. It is a guess.

Rooms are open in

Nowhere else yet. Standups run on a call, so those work from wherever you are, and they show up whatever you pick here.

Standups

Say what the morningis for, beforeyou spend it

Three lines, out loud, one voice at a time. Naming the one thing turns a vague morning into a specific one, and hearing the others name theirs puts the room to work before anyone opens a laptop.

Three lines

Three fields, and we keep it at three.

Add a fourth and you have built a status report for somebody to read. This is a ritual you do for yourself in front of other people, and it stops being that the moment it becomes a record somebody checks.

  1. 01YesterdayWhat you got done since last time.
  2. 02TodayThe one thing this morning is for.
  3. 03BlockerWhat is in the way, if anything is.

Who sees it. You and the host of that room. Not the rest of the room, not another room, and no employer, including one paying for your seat.

Two ways to have one

Inside a focus room, or on its own.

Every focus room opens with a standup. Ten minutes, one person at a time, then the room goes quiet and you work until the break.

Booked on its own it is fifteen minutes, every weekday, and then you leave. Some people want the intention without giving up two hours, and this is that: you decide out loud what the day is for and go and do it wherever you were going to be anyway.

A focus room is the other half of this.
